GUYANA

Guyana, under the leadership of President Irfaan Ali, played a pivotal role at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2022, reaffirming its commitment to active participation and collaboration within the Commonwealth. As a member of this international organization, Guyana contributed to discussions on key global issues, diplomatic dialogues, and initiatives aimed at fostering unity, cooperation, and shared prosperity among Commonwealth nations.

UNITED KINGDOM

 Dr. Asif Iqbal, leading the India Commonwealth Trade Council delegation, visited the UK Parliament to generate momentum for the upcoming summit scheduled for January 2024 in the UK, followed by a larger contingent heading to Samoa for CHOGM2024. During this occasion, British MPs Bob Blackman, Virendra Sharma, and Philip Tucknell officially launched the IETO Commonwealth annual edition. The event garnered active participation from various stakeholders in the UK.

INDIA COMMONWEALTH TRADE CONFERENCE IN KOCHI

The India Commonwealth Conference, held in Kochi, saw the presence of H.E. Mr. Mustapha Jawara, High Commissioner of The Gambia to India, H.E. Mr. Leonard Mengezi, High Commissioner of Malawi to India, and Mr. Thabang Linus Kholumo, CdA, High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho in India. The conference, hosted by Dr. Varghese Moolan, Trade Commissioner of the India Commonwealth Trade Council, provided a platform for collaborative discussions and strengthened ties among Commonwealth nations.
